Use of hidden input field to inform assistive technologies of changes in content

A client was having issues with JAWS not continuing to recognize dynamically updated link text. This solution uses a hidden input field force JAWS 18 to recognize the updated link text regardless of how many times the link is clicked.

This technique is described in the Level Access best practice Inform assistive technologies of changes in content

Testing

Works with JAWS 18 and IE 11. Changes to link text are recognized with each click event, no buffer refresh required.
